How long are the shows?

Most IMAX films average 40-45 minutes. Please keep in mind that for seating purposes, it is best to arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled fi

Is there a place where we can have lunch?

At this time, the only option for bagged lunches in our lobby (standing room).

I am concerned about peanut allergies/ dairy allergies, is your concession safe?

We use Canola Oil to make our popcorn and all of our products that contain peanuts are self contained. Our only dairy products are pre-packaged ice cream.

I have students with special needs. Is IMAX wheelchair accessible?

There are currently 6 spaces available in our auditorium (click here for seating map). We also have a lift and our courteous staff that will be happy to bring you up or down. Please indicate at time of booking that you have students or staff requiring these spaces.

Do we get glasses for the 3D shows?

We have special glasses on site that we lend groups for each show. They are returned to us at the end of the show.

I do not have vision in both eyes, can I still see 3D?

You will not be able to see the 3D effects. You will still have to wear the 3D glasses to enjoy the film.

I have some volunteer drivers, will they get free parking?

Anyone that comes to see a show (or drops someone off) will qualify for free parking if they park in the Portage Place parkade. You can get your vouchers from the box office.

How long before our booking should we arrive?

We recommend arriving about 20 minutes before showtime. If a large portion of your group requires the elevator, you may want to arrive a little earlier.

Should I pay for my booking in advance?

No, we recommend paying upon arrival. If your numbers change then you are only paying for those in attendance. 

How can I pay?

You can pay by school cheque (please make it out to "Manitou Theatre Management"), credit cards, debit cards or cash. Please pay in a lump sum payment.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

If you have to cancel your booking and it is weather related or bus related just let us know as soon as you can and we can reschedule. If it is for another reason, you must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel. If you do not notify us you may be charged 50% of your original booking.

What is included in the "Student Combo" and when do I order it?

The "Student Combo" includes a bucket of popcorn and a canned juice for $3.50 per person (taxes included). They must be pre-ordered so that they can be ready for when you arrive. This saves you and your students 46% the walk up rate, and most importantly TIME.

Do you have French presentations of your films?

We do get the French soundtrack to a few films, please speak with the Education coordinator to find out if any are scheduled.
